Clay can be anything, giving life to memories, stories and dreams. My bright, whimsical ceramic work is inspired by a childhood spent being fascinated by creatures of all kinds, being dubbed “The Candy Queen,” devouring myths/legends/folklore and building amusing narratives. As a maker I want to make people of all ages smile, wonder, imagine and enjoy the magic of my creations. Materials I use are a combination of purchased and personally developed casting slip, clay and glazes. Pieces are made with hand building and slip casting techniques using mid-range porcelain clay bodies. Designs are original and everything is sculpted, created, hand painted and glazed by me. Work that I’ll be selling: Magnets, Ornaments, Figurines, Earrings, Kitchen and Home goods(mugs, coin banks, dog bowls, jewelry trees, butter dishes, etc.).
